On May 2, 2024 the land judging team went to the National Land Judging Competition in El Reno, Oklahoma, where the team had a four-way tie for ninth place but placed 12th overall. The team consisted of Arallai Wartick, Kelly Theurer, Annabelle Burden, and Addison Heater.

Wartick placed third overall in individuals. Wartick takes part in many activities in school with a wide range of sports and other activities. Wartick is an FFA officer and is very active in all things AG related. When asked how she got to nationals, she said, “I studied and did well in the contest to get to nationals.” Wartick’s hard work paid off as she placed third in the nation individually and the South Haven community is very proud of her.

The team worked very hard to get this far and worked very hard at all competitions to get to this position. They worked very hard but they also got to have a lot of fun on the way. They left a couple days before and got a lot of practice in, but they also got to go to Dave and Busters they won prizes and had a lot of fun.

When asked if there was anything she would want to change, Theurer says “I liked how much we practiced and I wouldn’t really change anything.” This group of girls put a lot of effort and hard work into making it this far. The school is very proud of them for this achievement.
