  • Junior High Track in Burden

    On Thursday, Apr. 9, 2026, South Sumner track travels to Central/Burden to compete. This is their second track meet this season, and they’ve come back even more prepared and ready to win.

    On April 10 and 11, 2026, Keeley Coon, theater director at South Haven, and her cast and crew showed their ‘clean’ version of “Little Shop of Horrors” to the school.

  • South Haven Sends Young Entrepreneurs to Pittsburg State For Young Entrepreneurship Challenge

    On April 7, 2026, Carley Russell, Blaine Carroll, Makenzie Callison, Lyla Wiiest, Natalie Colwell, and Natalie Betzen went to Pittsburg State to participate in the Young Entrepreneurship Challenge. They were led by Missy Russell. 

  • South Haven FFA’s Annual Banquet: Where Awards Are Given, Dinner Is Served, and Leaders Take the Stage!

    On March 12, 2026 the South Haven FFA chapter hosted their annual parent and member banquet. Members spent the morning preparing for the banquet by setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and food items.

  • Boy JH Basketball Wrap-Up

    Junior High Boys Basketball this season did pretty good. Carson Goeckel, point guard, said they played pretty good. The junior varsity boys said they needed more practice. They placed third in the SCBL Tournament.

    On January 28, 2026 FFA members took off to Buhler for the South Central District FFA Public Speaking Competition.

  • Junior High Track and Field Take on Burden

    On Tuesday, March 31, the South Sumner junior high track and field team travelled to Burden to compete. The team has been practicing and preparing for a couple weeks, and after looking at the results their hard work paid off.

  • Highschool Softball JV Squad Plays Against Central Burden

    On Friday Mar. 27, 2026, the high school junior varsity team played against Central Burden. After a long and cold evening, the South Sumner softball team had won one and lost one, with the final scores being 9-8, 2-15.

  • South Sumner Outlaws Play First Softball Game VS. Oxford!

    On March 26, 2026, South Sumner softball played Oxford at South Haven. The first game started at 6 and was a double header. 

  • Outlaw Cheer Tryouts For The 26-27 School Year

    As many of you might know, on Saturday, Mar. 7th, at 10:00 a.m. JHHS Outlaw cheer tryouts took place at Caldwell Schools in Caldwell KS.
