On Thursday, April 30, there was a junior high track meet at Caldwell, KS. The track meet started at 1 PM. It was very windy that day. The South Sumner team did pretty good overall, but the boys’ side can improve on the 4x400m.

I interviewed Jude Zavala and he said he won three out of four events in track. He won the 75m Hurdles, the 100m, and the 4x100m, but lost the 4x400m. He said this year in track, he has improved a lot since last year. He said track made him a little bit faster.

I asked “What could you do better in the 4x400m?” He said, “Run faster and just try to stay in the lead.”

Zavala also said he would do track next year.
