South Haven Pre-K Gets a New Teacher

By Carley Russell

At the start of this school year, the PM-Preschoolers met their new teacher, Crystal O’Hair, who was also South Haven’s former First Grade teacher.

O’Hair has been teaching at SHS for ten years. She graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in early childhood and graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Social Working. This year, she has the teaching aids of Maddie Minor and Makenna Meza who help her in her classes.

When asked what inspired her to teach she said “I enjoy being with kids and helping them learn.”

Four year old Ruby Morland is in the PM-preschool class this year. She enjoys preschool and likes to color with her friend Holden.  She wants to be a nurse when she grows up and favorite animal is a cow. When asked what she thinks about her teacher she said, “I like her.”
