On Thursday, September 19, the South Haven Junior High boys played West Elk at Howard, Kansas. The boys fought hard, but the game ended with a loss. The score was 12-54.
Emmanuel Saunders, linebacker and running back for the team, was the only one who scored. He scored two touchdowns. Saunders said, “My favorite play was Thunder Seven because I went on a route.”
When Landon Geockel was asked about some things that happened at the game, he said, “We…passed the ball,” and “Gabe, Connor and Manny(Emmanuel) got hurt.”
Their next game is against the Udall Eagles, this Thursday.
