On October 19, 2024 the STUCO held a homecoming dance for the guests and students of South Haven Schools. There were around 60 students in attendance for this homecoming dance and the dance was formal, and it was held in the south gym.
STUCO put a lot of effort into preparing snacks, counting the amount expected to attend, they had to find a theme and decorate for that theme. They went in the day before to make sure the dance was all set up for everyone.
Vice President Adilyn Welden said her favorite part of the dance was, “Setting it up and putting it on for everyone.” Welden is a part of STUCO and FCCLA and is in her junior year of high school.
Sophomore Dalton Kelly said his favorite part of the dance was, “All the dancing and the snacks that were there, especially the Chex-Mix.”
There was much excitement across the student body hearing there was going to be a dance and many were very excited for the dance. It was a very good dance that went very well with lots of support from the students with hopes that there will be more to come in the future.
