Junior High Outlaw Football Team Goes Up Against The Sedan Blue Devils

By Claire Minor

On October 17, 2024 the Outlaw football team had a home game at Caldwell against the Sedan Blue Devils. Unfortunately, the outlaws lost this final game.

Eighth grade starter Landon Goeckel said that he was prepared for the game even though he couldn’t play due to a sprained ankle. Goeckel said that he could improve on his passes and pass covers. Eighth grade starter Emmanuel Saunders said that he thought he was prepared and played alright even though it wasn’t his best game. Saunders said that he could improve on running the ball better.

Both Goeckel and Saunders made it known that the team did not play to their full potential and there were costly errors and mistakes that should have never happened. Overall, the two interviewees think that their team needs to work on getting their onside kicks and playing together as a team. Even though this was the last game of the season, the Junior High Outlaws have celebrated wins and overcame tough losses. It’s safe to say that we are ready to see what they will bring to the table next year!
