Mary Shelly Writing Competition

By Carley Russell

Trista Metzinger won the Mary Shelly Writing Contest. She wrote a story called “The Imposter.” Natalie Colwell got second place by writing the story “Fifteen Floors” and Josie Metzinger came in third writing “The Halloween Hunt.”

The Mary Shelly Writing Contest is a writing contest sponsored by David Hole, the junior high ELA teacher, where students write a Halloween story of their choosing. A few people in the South Haven Junior High competed in this contest, writing their own Halloween stories, but these three were considered the favorites.

Congratulations, T. Metzinger, on winning the competition and thank you to everyone else for participating.
