On Nov. 4, 2024 the beginning of winter conditioning started. All high school athletes, boys and girls, were invited. There were two days of conditioning before dead week and then the next week will be the beginning of basketball season. The athletes met in the north gym and did all sorts of workouts to help get in shape for the upcoming season.
With much excitement leading up to the season, some of the athletes shared what they are most looking forward to for the season. Arallai Wartick, a junior at South Haven, said, “I am looking forward to spending time with the team and achieving our goals together.”
A senior from South Haven, Tanner Kelly, said that his biggest goal is, “To give my team everything I got and be a great leader for the young team we are going to have. As it is my senior year, all I want to do is give the sport all I got and hopefully get some big wins on the season under my new coaching staff of Zack Norris and Christian Ward.”
It seems like there are already many goals and excitement that these athletes are preparing for. We wish these athletes luck as they go into the exciting season. We are looking forward to seeing some big wins this season.
