On Nov. 21, 2024 The South Haven Junior High Lady Cardinals went up against the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans. The Lady Cardinals won with a score of 29-15. The starters for the South Haven team were MaKenzie Trillo, Brooklyn Dvorak, Carlee Heater, Courtlyn Cullens, and Xava Weins.

Eighth grader at South Haven Schools, Carlee Heater, has played basketball since Rec and is a point guard for the JH girls basketball team. Heater said that her and the team were prepared for the game, but she thought that the team could improve on setting up their offense. When asked what the most challenging part of the game was, Heater noted that the team was confident in the game against the Spartans.

It sounds like the team had a strong introductory game, which shows that they’re off to a great start. South Haven Schools are super proud of our JH Lady Cardinals basketball team and their first win of the season!
