Nov. 16, 2024 was the Mommy-Son Dance. The theme was superheroes! The dance was put on by the members of FCCLA. The dance had games, food, and an ice cream bar. 

Tylen, one of the sons that attended, said, “I liked the ice cream. I also liked dancing. I liked the food I ate and also I liked playing the games. I also got to eat ice cream.” Tylen’s favorite superhero is Black Panther because he does cool tricks and does cool stuff. 

Reed Blaylock’s, a fourth grade son that attended, favorite game was guessing the cheese balls in the bucket. His favorite hero is Hulk because he is very strong. Reed said, “My mom told me to do the church clap. It was my favorite because I got to do a lot of jumping.”  

Last year the Mommy-Son Dance was cancelled due to low attendance. This year, the attendants seemed to have a blast and hopefully next year they will all attend again!
