The South Haven Middle School boys played vs Caldwell Bluejays in the play-in game into the tournament on Feb. 6. They won, but it was a very close game until the end.

Brodie Kelly, a sixth grader on the team, was asked how the team played and he said, ¨The team played better than they have all season, but Caldwell has already beaten us twice this season so we couldn’t lose again to them.¨

Their varsity record was 1/10 and junior varsity was 10/1. The Cardinals overall season didn’t end how they wanted to, but they will be ready to play next season.

Kelly is very excited for the upcoming basketball season, hoping to start varsity and lead the teams to victories. The Cardinal middle school boys are coached by Cody Wolf.
