Every year, the South Haven FFA takes one or two freshmen to the district creed speaking contest. This year, Emma Wiiest and Carley Russell were the freshmen chosen to attend this contest. When they arrived at the contest, they got registered and went straight to the contest area. During the contest, the two girls both recited the creed and answered a few questions.

Wiiest ended up being in the top ten and had to compete again. Her final scoring ended up getting seventh place. Wiiest said, “I think I did pretty good and my critique sheet said I did pretty good, too. The contest had a lot of waiting around to it until it was my time to go in.” So good job Wiiest and Russell.
