The South Haven High School boys basketball team advanced to the Sub-State Finals after a forfeit from Southern Coffey County, beating Altoona Midway. They then battled to the end against McPherson Elyria Christian, but fell.
Cardinals sophomore Maddox Pond was asked how he thought the game, and he said, “It was not the best game we have played this year, but they were a solid team.¨ Pond was also asked how he played, and he said ¨bad, but I had a lot of rebounds.¨
The team’s season was ended after that loss, but the underclassmen are excited to get out on the court and play some more basketball this summer and next season. The South Haven Cardinals were led by head coach Zach Norris and assistant Christian Ward.
