This spring, South Haven and Caldwell high schools have chosen to combine both of their teams for what will now be known as South Sumner Outlaw Track and Field. This co-op began on March 10, 2025. They have now been combined for a little over a month.
Freshman Brody Heater said that, “Although it is a lot of people, it challenges us to become better athletes.”
When Sydnie Goebel was asked how she feels about the combined teams, she said, “I like the social aspect of it but I would have rather stayed over here because it is more like home over here.”
The team has many different meets to come and a variety of different types of athletes who specialize in events such as sprinting, long distance, middle distance, throwing (javelin, discus, shot put), high jump, pole vault, hurdling, long jump, and triple jump.
We hope to see a lot come out of this new team, so make sure to go out and support your South Sumner Outlaw Track and Field team.
