Junior High Boys Basketball Wrap Up

By Dalton Kelly

The middle school boys basketball season started off slow and ended with them knowing it is now or never. Throughout the season, the boys had no leadership and never wanted to play as a team, but by the end of the season, they realized they needed leadership and teamwork.

Unfortunately, at that point, it was too late because it was the end of the season. They worked together as a team to beat Caldwell in the play-in game, which they had been beaten by two times earlier in the season.

Corbin Lucas, one of their eighth graders, was asked how the season went, and he said, “Not good. There wasn’t much winning or leadership.” Lucas was also asked how the end of the season went, and he said, “It wasn’t terrible because we slowly improved over the season”.

His favorite part of the season was when they beat Caldwell in the play-in game. The Cardinals were coached by Cody Wolf and assisted by Zach Norris.
