On April 5, the high school cheer coaches hosted the cheer tryout for the 2026 Outlaw cheer team. The girls who made it on the team were Annabelle Burden, Carley Russell, Trista Metzinger, Khloe Meissner, Avery Strickland, Evangeline (Ava) Meissner, Sydnie Goebel, Kassidy Lowery, Mackenzie Callison, Piper Dodds, Kaylee Rowley, and Witney Goebel. These girls made the team by showing great spirit, being loud, having great motions, and more.
When asking Piper Dodds, upcoming junior, on why she thought she made the team, she said, “I feel like I was pretty loud and I stuck my motions and that gave me something. I feel like I had a pretty good attitude, I was smiling the whole time.” At the tryout they did the fight song, a cheer, and a chant of the coaches choice. They also performed a jump and after everything they were required to do a spirit set. Congratulations to all these wonderful ladies and good luck on next year’s cheer season.
