The South Haven boys basketball team ended their season on March 8, 2025 in the Final round of the Sub State Championship. The season has been full of ups and downs. Many of these athletes have been hit with a lot of adversity, especially the seniors, with the adversity being that they’ve had a new coach every year of high school.

That’s what makes these boys a lot different than most schools. Starting a new year for them puts them behind since they have to learn the new ways of the new coaches.

This year seemed very different for these boys as coaches Zach Norris and Christian Ward are both younger coaches who, of course, as any other coaches, had some different ways of coaching. They came in with excitement and they were ready to get as far as they did this year. They showed the boys that teamwork was important and they were also open for critiquing from their athletes which you don’t always see much.

The boys ended their season with a record 13-9. These boys worked harder than they’ve ever worked before and although they faced adversity they were able to overcome that and push themselves to work harder and become better.
