The senior class of 2025 decided they were going to fly to Orange Beach, Alabama for their class trip. Nine kids went on the trip, including Zeke Overfelt, Tanner Kelly, Brady Russell, Alex Shore, Colby Irey, Hannah Clausen, Maddie Minor, Aubrey Pond, and Rahlee Colwell.
Some of their favorite parts were meeting new interesting people, like this group of older ladies that the boys were entertaining by falling in the water, falling while boogie boarding, or getting hit by waves and falling.
Shore and Kelly met a man named Zach, who was cool because he was walking down the street, and they were riding bikes so they decided to stop and talk to him.
Russell got to hold an alligator, which was his favorite part of the trip.
Everyone seemed to love the food because the stuff they ate wasn’t stuff they ate every day, like back in Kansas. The food in Alabama was tasty and fresh. Shore’s favorite part was when Kelly lost his voice because he was yelling so much for no reason, and Shore loved the bike rides and the food they ate.
Colwell liked the food and the beach.
All of them said their trip overall was fun and interesting; it was full of arguments and laughter and frightening times, especially when Kelly lost his wallet with more than $300 in it (though they delivered it back to him once they finally found it.) The adults who went with the senior and probably enjoyed it just as much as everyone else were Justin and Sarah Pond, and Jypsi Cook.
