The South Haven Middle School and High School Awards Banquet was held on April 30 at 6 p.m. The awards banquet was held for about an hour and a half. Before the banquet, the school served fried chicken, beans, chips, cookies, and water or Kool-Aid.
Highschool sophomore Maddox Pond was asked how he thought the awards banquet went and he said, “I thought the award banquet went pretty well.” Pond said he “received three awards. They were for track, basketball, and football.”
Pond’s best and most memorable award was, “the basketball award[. It] meant the most to me because I was just getting back from a injury with my clavicle break in football.”
The awards were handed out by Zane Aguilar and the coaches.
