On Feb. 8, 2025 from 6-8 p.m., South Haven Schools’ FCCLA club put on a “Daddy-Daughter Dance” for all students Pre-K through 5th grade. FACS educator at South Haven Schools, Cindy Blunk, is the one who put on the dance. This year’s theme was “My First Valentine” and those who attended, participated in activities and dances.
This year’s dance was well-attended by many dads and daughters. Blunk said that all of the little girls that went had a blast making many amazing memories with their fathers. Blunk expressed that the only challenging part of the dance was getting chaperones to set up/clean and help with the preparation of the food.
The whole reason why FCCLA puts on the Daddy Daughter Dance is to give young girls the opportunity to create fun memories with their fathers. Not all daughters are able to experience one-on-one time with their dads often, but with the help of the Daddy-Daughter Dance, they are given the opportunity to make a few!
