The South Sumner baseball team started practices on March 3, 2025 with their first game being on March 27, 2025. The team consists of athletes from South Haven and Caldwell, along with head coach Brian Smith and assistant coach Brock Byers.

Some of the athletes were asked what the best parts of the season was and Kody Wartick said “Getting to mess around with all the boys, the experiences, being able to go out and play, being able to start, and messing with the coaches is pretty fun.”

Another athlete said “Probably the last game when I caught a ball and made one really far into the outfield and almost made it home.” It seems like this season has been very interesting and full of fun times.

We wish goodluck to the team and we are very proud of how their season has gone.
