This year, Junior High Girls Basketball was coached by Jenni Cully and Diana Locke as assistant coach.
Kylie Tompkins said, “If I could describe my team in three words, it would be flexible, challenging, and powerful.” She also said, “Leadership is important, especially important because you need it at all times, even if you don’t care about it you need to put in the effort and lots of sportsmanship.”
Blaine Carroll said, “I think leadership was really present. I think some of the eighth graders really took the girls under their wing and showed them how to play. They treated each other pretty well and bonded with each other. There were some games that showed they tried their best. As a manager, there weren’t too many responsibilities. It was relatively easy, but it was fun.”
Carroll also said, “We had good eighth grade leadership. We had a lot of younger girls but at the end of the season we had a lot of sixth graders. At the end of the season we had one seventh grader really step up. Exciting, Zany, and unpredictable would be my three words for them.”
