This year was the first year with the combining of South Haven and Caldwell for track! There’s about 75 middle schoolers. They had their last meet, League, on May 8, 2025.
Brooklyn Dvorak said, “The combining got better over time. I feel like I get a lot of it with the amount of coaches.”
Landon Goeckel said, “It did open some doors, I guess, but I feel like the team was just better as Cardinals. We get to practice on a real track and nicer equipment, but I’d rather have a better team.” As an eighth grade consistent medalist he says, “I am a leader by showing the younger ones how to do things. I want to be a leader and show them the right things but the ones my age are leading them on the wrong path.”
Natalie Betzen, a sixth grader, said, “I feel like this year was a lot better. For my first year I liked how everyone was positive. Eventually everyone got along.”
