The term “back to school blues” refers to the feeling of dread and sadness that many students experience when they are returning to school after a break. Which, in this case, this term applies to some of the students at South Haven Schools.
Sophomore Adalyn Irey described her first day back as, “bad, boring, and too long,” explaining that “the teachers just sat there and yapped.” Irey said her day was overall, “fine for the first day.”
However, not all students shared the same experience. Fourth grade student Alexa Betzen said that her first day back was, “fun and adventurous.” Betzen stated that she had felt, “anxious, but excited,” to come back to school.
