On August 23rd, 2025, starting at 9 AM and lasting till 2:30 PM, thanks to the help of Kelli Dvorak, the annual South Haven Car Show was represented by Kayla Betzen. They host the car show every year, and people vote every year for whoever signs up and wins a contest of whoever has the best-looking car.

I asked Brooklyn Dvorak, a ninth grader who is involved with sports like basketball and track, about the car show. Brooklyn said, “The car show was a bit boring since there wasn’t much to do there except get food and look at old cars.” She had said her mother and Blaine Carroll, another ninth grader, were there. The car show took place at 111 S. Main.

“There were old flashy cars there, none really stood out to me,” Brooklyn said. Due to her mother, Kelli Dvorak, working there, she had to be there, along with her tractor being there. She said she had been alone all day.

Natalie Betzen, a seventh grader who is also involved in a variety of sports, including basketball, volleyball, track, and cheer “all year round,” had also been at the Car Show. According to Betzen, there happened to be more cars at the show this year.

Along with people who showed being there, there was mostly family, due to Betzen’s mother running the car show, and not alone due to helping with concessions.
