Junior High Volleyball Puts Up Tough Fight Against Argonia

By Xava Wiens

On September 8, 2025, South Haven Junior High played against Argonia. They kept the game close until the very end, with the score of the first set being 15-25 and the second 21-25, Argonia winning both sets.

Seventh grader Natalie Colwell stated that they lost their games because, “we weren’t communicating enough and we rushed way too much.” She also felt that they could’ve improved by, “calling the ball off.”

According to Lyla Wiiest, a seventh grader, they performed that way because, “we didn’t communicate well.” She thought that the most challenging part was, “playing four games in a row, we were all extremely exhausted.”

The Lady Cardinals play again on September 11th against Flinthills. Colwell thinks that the game against Flinthills will be, “tough, but exciting.”
