FFA Greenhands Visit Fairfield

By Xava Wiens

The FFA Greenhand students travelled to Fairfield on September 17. All four of them went and participated in their first conference of the year. At the conference they did food stocking, FFA bingo, and sports.

Jace Friedmeyer, an eighth grade student, said that “doing the bingo,” was his favorite part because he “knew a lot of the information.” He thought that the whole event was “pretty fun.” Friedmeyer also notes, “I thought the bus ride was fun, but kinda long.”

Another FFA member, Carson Goeckel, had fun at his first FFA event. Goeckel’s favorite thing he did was “eating Chick-fil-a on the way home.” He thought that the whole event was “pretty boring until the contest,” which he placed third out of three-hundred and forty kids in Ag history.

Next week, on Wednesday, the students in FFA are going to Little River to landjudge. Goeckel feels “great and very ready,” for landjudging. They have been practicing and preparing for land judging for the past few weeks.
