South Haven Goes On An OSU Campus Visit!

By Claire Minor

On Sep. 18, 2025, Sophomore through Senior students and staff who signed up and registered, visited Oklahoma State University (OSU) for a campus tour! There were 28 students and 2 staff members who went on the tour.

The South Haven students were split into two groups and assigned two tour guides per group. The students were led all around the campus and the walk was about two hours just to see and learn a little bit about the university’s most important and popular buildings. They were shown the housing, dining locations, and academic buildings and were told about scholarships, finances, and student organizations.

Towards the end of the tour, the students were given the opportunity to venture off and get to experience the dining hall for their meal.

Campus tours and visits are always an amazing thing for students to experience in their high school career so that they can get a preview on what to expect and what they want/what their preferences are.

South Haven Schools is glad to be able to have their students go to these kinds of things and see what their future might look like. Overall, I would say that this particular university visit was a success!

Oklahoma State University (OSU) was founded on Christmas day in 1890. OSU is the #1 best value public university in Oklahoma. They have 400+ student organizations, 54 NCAA team national championships, 48 sororities and fraternities, 30+ housing and dining locations, free transportation, is an R1 research university, and many more!
