On Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, the Junior High Lady Cardinals played against the Argonia Raiders. After a long, tough game, the Cardinals won, with the final score being 43-22, coaches Jennifer Cully and Diana Locke carrying out the win.

Seventh grader, Natalie Betzen, a varsity starter and the teams lead scorer of the game, having 14 points, stated that the team’s energy and support is what helped them win. Betzen, when asked what she learned about her team from their performance said “this was our best game by far, we all just executed everything perfectly and kept up great energy.”

The Lady Cardinals will play again on Jan. 29, 2026 vs. Oxford at Oxford. Betzen has high hopes for her team and believes that they can win.
