By Jayden Woodfin

The cheer clinic performance featured girls from Pre-K through Fifth grade who came together to learn and perform cheer routines. During the clinic, students were taught the song “Soda Pop” along with two basic cheers. Practice took place from 3:40 to 5:00 p.m. and was filled with lots of energy and excitement.

While the practice could be chaotic at times, the students stayed enthusiastic and engaged. “Others struggled to get down the cheer, while others did well to learn it,” said Trista Metzinger. Despite the challenges, the girls were happy and excited to learn how to cheer. Overall, the cheer clinic was a fun experience that allowed students to learn new skills and enjoy being part of a team.
