On February 21, 2026, South Haven sophomore Kody Wartick headed up to Eureka for wrestling regionals. Wartick was supported by his coaches, Haden Crawley, and Bill Ross, alongside SHHS cheerleaders, and ended up getting second place in his weight class.
When asked how Wartick could improve, assistant coach Ross said “continue to work hard and work not only on the physical but the mental.”
Wartick wrestles again at state at Fort Hays on Friday and Saturday.
