On Feb 13, 2026, the South Haven Lady Cardinals played versus the Central Lady Raiders. After a long game of having a back-and-forth lead the Cardinals unfortunately lost 38-34. 

Freshman Varsity starter Carlee Heater thought the hardest part of staying up with the other team was not getting good shots and not being able to score as much as they would like. Heater also believed that if she had played better defense then they would not have fallen behind as much. She thinks she did pretty good but she could have done better overall.

After that loss, the Lady Cardinals head coach, Ali Freeman, is now excited for Sub-State because she wants to play them again and win this time. The Cardinals played again on Feb. 17, 2026 versus Udall. That game will also include Senior Night.
