Kody Wartick competed in a wrestling tournament at Fort Hayes, where matches began at 9 a.m. The event took place in a huge indoor track facility with a large gym set up for wrestling, and the building was filled with people supporting their teams.
On Friday, Wartick wrestled one match. During the match, his opponent gave him a bloody nose, leading to blood time. Wartick was upset after the loss.
On Saturday, he returned ready to compete again. Wartick won his first match of the day, but in his second match, he faced a previous opponent who had beaten him before and lost again, which made the match especially frustrating.
Despite the challenges, Wartick continued to represent his team and school with determination.
