On March 26, 2026, South Sumner softball played Oxford at South Haven. The first game started at 6 and was a double header.
South Sumner started off strong with Maddy Ferguson pitching and hits that allowed runs to score. The Outlaws won the first game with at least a five point lead.
The second game proved to be a struggle for the Outlaws. The Wildcats managed to get on base and get a huge lead. However, the Outlaws came back in the last few quarters almost tying the score at 14 to 12, but still leaving Oxford ahead and giving them the win.
The Outlaws play again April 2 at Sedan, playing both a varsity and JV game.
