N.A.S.A Selects Its 2025-26 Roles

By Claire Minor

N.A.S.A, for those who don’t already know, stands for “Native American Student Association”. What N.A.S.A does is make jewelry, attend classes or public buildings and share their native history/stories, and attend pow-wows if desired. The goals this year, according to the president of N.A.S.A, is to make it better, try to get by without ex-sponsor, Twaila Wiley (who was a major part of the club), and to overall do their best with everything that they can.

On Thursday, Sep. 4, 2025, the club had their first meeting of the year. They went over and voted for new positions. With that being said… Here are the 2025-26 N.A.S.A. roles!:

President: Gabe Moncivais

Vice President: Witney Goebel

Secretary: Sydnie Goebel

Treasurer: Landon Cullens

Princess (Rep): Courtlyn Cullens

Sponsors: Stephanie Moncivais and Ali Freeman

President Gabe Moncivais said that N.A.S.A. is a great community for Native students to express their culture and what it truly means. As mentioned previously, the club makes jewelry, clothes, and sometimes food to sell and they go to pow-wows and other schools to tell history.

South Haven Schools and its students should be honored to have a club that provides a community and a sense of belonging and or importance for those involved. It is great to see such powerful cultural engagement that celebrates and promotes Native American history here in the little town of South Haven!
