On October 6, 2025, South Haven K-12 had their second Rise and Shine morning of the school year. Rise and Shine happens the first Monday of every month. Typically, a Rise and Shine Morning will consist of saying the South Haven Creed, October birthday celebrations, a lesson, and ends with a game.
The lesson this month was about resilience. Sophomore Alana Grillot said that the lesson was “meaningful and helpful,” stating that she learned that resilience means that “every time you fall down, you need to get back up.”
Grillot also participated in the game. Her description of it was that you had to “jump on the mattress and make it slide forward, then you and your team had to make it down and back doing it that way.”
Rise and Shine has overall been an amazing experience to bring together the whole school.
