On October 3rd, 2025, the South Sumner Highschool Football team put up a tough fight against Elinwood. After a long game of hard work, the score ended up being 44-13, Elinwood with the win. 

11th-grade running back Cole Spencer, thought that the team had “underperformed,” stating that the team they played against was a “beatable team.” One reason that he believed the game resulted in the way it did was because they “gave up when things got hard.” 

During halftime, the Homecoming Court were introduced and the King and Queen were announced. Out of all eight of the Homecoming Candidates, Arallai Wartick and Coal Vanzant were crowned Homecoming King and Queen.

The South Sumner High School football team played Medicine Lodge on October 10, 2025.
