On March 12, 2026 the South Haven FFA chapter hosted their annual parent and member banquet. Members spent the morning preparing for the banquet by setting up tables, chairs, decorations, and food items.
The banquet opened with the master of ceremonies led by President Annabelle Burden, giving a thank you to supporters, a prayer over the meal, evening, and future endeavors. At the conclusion of dinner, the 2025/2026 officer team led opening ceremonies. President Annabelle Burden, Vice President Arallai Wartick, Secretary Kelly Theurer, Treasurer Avery Strickland, Reporter Maddy Ferguson, Sentinel Michelle Tevington, Junior Advisor Will Theurer, and Historian Carley Russell opened the banquet for further business.
This year Chris Johnson was selected to receive the honorary member award, thanks to all his work during meat sales to organize the digital sales sheets and records. This year, four discovery, five greenhand, and ten chapter degrees were given to qualified members. Coal Vanzant and Arallai Wartick will be receiving their Kansas State FFA degrees at the Kansas State FFA Convention at the end of May. Jacee Thuerer received her American Degree at the National FFA Convention in November of 2025. Carson Goeckel, Logan Kuchar, Brody Heater, Maddy Ferguson, and Arallai Wartick won high points for their respective class. Sage VanZant was recognized for her Reserve Champion AOB Market Hog at the Kansas State Fair “The Grand Drive” livestock show.
At the conclusion of the award, the 2026/2027 officer team was inducted into their new roles. The new officer team stands as listed. President Avery Strickland, Vice President Maddy Ferguson, Secretary Michelle Tevington, Treasurer Emma Wiiest, Reporter Will Theurer, Sentinel Tony Trillo, and Junior Advisor Carley Russell.
After the new officer team closed the banquet, Maddox “Hotdog” Pond followed with a special performance to “Love” by Keshia Cole.
